The GUARDIAN is a versatile valve position transmitter designed for a wide variety of applications. Linear Control Valves – The picture to the left shows the GUARDIAN mounted to a linear control valve.
Knife-Gate Valves – The Guardian is adaptable to knife-gate valves, and can be used together with a Companion VPT to form an integrated package. The Guardian would provide the junction box and one limit switch, and the Companion would provide the second limit switch.
Rotary Valves – The Guardian can be used on an actuated rotary valve for a NEMA 6P (periodic submersion) applications.
Junction Box Applications – With 3 conduit entries and a maximum of 26 terminal points, the Guardian is a cost-effective alternative to standard junction boxes.
The Guardian is available with Moniteur’s advanced line of TTL Non-Contact Switches or Inductive Sensors, providing the ability to interface with any plant control system.

Guardian VPT Switch and Sensor Selection Guide
Non-Contact TTL SPDT (proximity-type) Switches
These hermetically sealed switches set the standard for reliability. Tungsten TTL switches are used for high current AC and DC applications with a rating of 3A at 120 VAC and 2A at 24 VDC. Choose Rhodium TTL for low voltage / low current DC and Intrinsically Safe applications. Optional LEDs are also available on the Krystal TTL with Rhodium contacts. NOTE: Switches with Tungsten contacts are not recommended for DC signals lower than 50 mA. Specifications
